These days, he spends every morning on the same forgotten dock deep beneath the waves, a cigar in one hand and a fishing rod in the other. He says retirement suits him. Most days... it does. But every now and then, something big wanders too close, something mean enough to remind him of the life he left behind.
The fish still call it bad luck. The old timers just call it Deadeye.
